Jon Edmiston is a senior leader of Spark, one of the core and original developers of Rock RMS, the technical architect, Rock community leader, and founding vision-caster of the Rock project. He approaches life with curiosity and a determination to deliver excellence. Connecting people through technology is just one of his passions, and he also carves out time to pursue karate and adventures with his family.
Emily is a senior leader of Spark. She enjoys working with the Rock community and Rock Partners, and tackles many of the operational aspects of running a non-profit, as well as moderating the RockCast podcast. She is passionate about understanding and connecting people, taking on the hard projects, traveling with her family and changing the world one smile at a time.
Will Mancini (ThM, Dallas Theological Seminary) is a church consultant and ministry entrepreneur. He started several interconnected organizations under The Future Church Co that help the church embody the movement that Jesus founded. Will’s visionary planning tools, the Vision Frame and the Horizon Storyline, are used by thousands of churches every year through his calling to raise up other consultants and trainers. In 2015, he cofounded Younique to deliver gospel-centered life design through the church. In 2019, Will founded Denominee to help networks and denominations re-invent how they bring value to the church. He currently provides clarity and innovation consulting directly to church teams through Pivvot. One of a small team overseeing the implementation and development of their Rock instance, Wes specializes in the user experience & interface of a multi-level, Rock-based external web site for Grace Church in Noblesville, Indiana. Specifically focused on creating page structures, content channels, custom blocks, and dynamic logged-in user experiences, Wes maintains the strategy and development of a progressive Rock web experience for the various ministries of Grace Church.
Billy has been in ministry for 23 years, serving in some of the largest churches in Florida and Georgia. Currently he serves as Executive Pastor at Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Ga. where he has been for 15 years. He is a graduate of Liberty University, married with 3 kids, and also coaches High School Basketball.
Scott is a native Texan who has escaped to the beautiful state of North Carolina. He loves working in his yard, and all things plants/flowers...yes flowers. He loves sports and his sports' loyalty lies with Clemson Football, the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars and The Texas Rangers. Scott is the father of five beautiful kids and the husband to the unmatched Lyn Ballard.
Frank is a founding Executive Team member and COO at Tithe.ly. Prior to being at Tithe.ly, Frank spent nearly 15 years helping churches, charities, and nonprofit organizations leverage technology to advance their mission. He also spent five years serving as a youth pastor. When Frank is not helping churches use technology to advance the kingdom of God, he’s spending time with his triplet boys and their superhero mom in San Diego, CA.
I’m a programmer, data nerd, and student of the Word with a passion for tuning technology to serve Christ. My wife and I live with our new son in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where I serve as the Director of Custom Software Projects with ABWE.
Prior to working at Woodmen Valley Chapel, Michelle worked in Project Engineering at Intel Corp. Michelle has been at
Woodmen for 14 years working with staff in Database Administration. She helps to equip staff with data extrapolation to
assist in various department needs.
Sena has worked at Christ Fellowship Church for the past 16 years. She has held various roles, but 4 years ago she found her sweet spot with IT implementing and building out Rock. She loves pairing the flexibility of Rock with smart, strategic solutions to advance the Kingdom and to get ministries excited by leveraging these tools to care for and shepherd people better. Sena also loves hiking, quilting, and leading Foundations of Faith groups every Sunday.
Taylor started Simple Donation in 2011. He lives in Austin, TX with his wife and three kids. He loves running, tennis, and writing software.
Having lived in KS, CA, NJ, and PA, Tiffany moved to SC in 1998 with her husband, and it has been her home ever since. She started as the childcare director at Fellowship Greenville 15 years ago, moved to the IT department 8 years ago as a ministry assistant, and in that time, has increased her knowledge of systems and is now the Rock admin for FG.
Miles is the IT Director of Northside Christian Church in New Albany, IN, working on general network and staff support as well as overseeing the management of Rock. With a total of 14 years in ministry in a technology role with experience in multiple church management systems. Miles enjoys spending time with his wife of 12 years and their adopted 4 year-old daughter, playing games, reading and consuming all sorts of media. (This is the way.)
Lora currently serves as the Executive Assistant for Brookwood Church in Simpsonville SC, supporting the Senior and Executive Pastors. She has 15 years of ministry experience and has served with the leadership team for the last 4 years. When she isn’t working in Rock, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and 3 kids, enjoying the beautiful Upstate of SC.
Russell has always had a passion for serving in ministry and solving complex technical problems. He started out by serving his local church with their Rock instance, and now uses his expertise to help churches across the nation as a developer and consultant at Pillars.
Courtney is a software engineer based in Cheyenne, WY. She has two dogs, Rex and Loki. Courtney enjoy snowboarding, skating, and MMA.
Aimee passionately cares about helping our churches move the needle forward and not letting them settle for status quo. She loves to rally and motivate church leaders to make bold moves to reach people for Jesus.
When she’s not ideating, Aimee can usually be found drinking a bold cup of coffee, at a football game, binge-watching something or playing make-believe with her son.
Brian has served at ONE&ALL Church in various production, communications and IT roles over the last 15 years. He is the proud husband to Megan and father to Berkley (5) and Chloe (3). Some of his favorite things to do with his free time are to play at the park with his daughters and fiddle around with technology (mostly Rock).
Charlotte has been the Data Coordinator at BridgePoint Church for 7 years. Charlotte has no technical background but fell in love with process and databases after being first brought on staff at BridgePoint in 2013. She is married with 2 beautiful girls that keep her and her husband, Justin, busy at all times. She's an avid sports fan (Go Gators and Who Dat!) and enjoys crocheting and loves to entertain at her home.
Matt Engel served as senior leader and adjunct faculty at Arizona State University, using data, analytics and messaging to drastically increase enrollment and decrease dropouts over a five-year period. Matt then was called to leverage his expertise as a pastor, which multiplied into helping other churches become more Christ-centered, Spirit-led and data- informed. Matt is a speaker, author of the novel Fourteen Fridays and is a subject matter expert on Decision Science and Growth Engagement Strategy within the Church. Working with the most influential churches in America, he is recognized for his skill in helping church leaders better fulfill their God-given mission by helping them turn interesting data into actionable insight with measurable outcomes through rapid experimentation. Matt is the Co-Founder of Engel Insights, LLC which is a ministry designed to support the growth of organizations in Platform and Decision theory. Matt, Denise and their two children live in Longmont, Colorado.
Matthew has been volunteering at Lakepointe for the past 11 years and been on staff for the last 5 years. He recently earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He is passionate about helping church staff use technology to expand and advance their ministries. Matthew lives in Rockwall, Texas with his wife Esther and their cat, Boba.

Arkansas born, southern to the core, wife, mother of 2, and mother-in-law to 1. My husband and I enjoy our empty nester life by traveling as often as we can and weekly Miata drives through the hills and windy roads of Arkansas - top down all the time of course! Woo Pig Soooie! I was a Systems Analysts at JB Hunt Transportation for 16 years, exchanging the corporate environment for the more grace-filled environment at Fellowship Bible Church for the last 15 years.
Graduated from Ozark Christian College in 2013 and began working in IT at Crossroads Christian Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. We switched to Rock in the fall of 2016. I enjoy playing different sports—soccer, volleyball, and disc golf. Currently going back to school for software engineering.
Frank is the Technology Engineering Director at NewSpring Church and has worked there for 8 years. He and his wife, Meagan, have lived in Anderson, SC for the past 14 years and love spending time with their 4 kids. Frank is an avid home brewer, loves reading, and is learning how to be a ‘softball dad.’
Adam lives in Mount Joy, PA with his wife Amanda, and son Lincoln. He loves time with his family, learning new technologies, and most anything related to Transformers. He’s been on staff at LCBC Church for over 13 years and now serves as the Digital Director. Adam enjoys working with his team and other staff at LCBC to leverage technology to introduce more people to Jesus and together fully follow him.
Will has over 24 years’ experience and knowledge in leading IT organizations and managing infrastructure operations. The last 9 years he has helped develop and grow IT1’s consulting organization including; professional services, managed services, 24/7 NOC and engineering services.
Eddie and his wife, Diane, came to Fellowship Greenville after serving as missionaries for six years in Bolivia, South America. Although he has a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, his passion is not technology, but using technology as a tool for ministry. Eddie is dad to Rachel and Rebecca, who are both medical professionals.
Rob is the IT Director for Emmanuel Church located in central Indiana. He has been with the church for almost 5 years. He and his wife have a blended family of 4 girls aged 16,15, and 12 year old twins. He spends his free time in the outdoors kayaking and fishing when the weather is warm and he loves coaching basketball.
Bayne Hulburt is an associate pastor and music director at River Pointe Church with 10 years spent on staff. He oversaw their Rock migration 4 years ago and continues to oversee their Rock environment, as well as most of their other digital systems. Don’t be fooled, most of the heavy lifting is handled by their Rock partner, but they make Bayne look really good.
Crista is the database administrator at Gold Creek Community Church in Mill Creek, WA. She has been on staff at GCCC for the last 7 years and has been part of the Rock community for the past 3 years. She serves as the liaison between the GCCC ministries, internal Rock development and external development with 9Embers.
I love to solve problems and help people, and working as a Web Developer for Northside Christian Church allows me to do both and further His kingdom at the same time. I learned a lot of my skills while in college for a degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering and then honed them quite a bit as a Cyber Intern for the Department of Homeland Security. I then spent four years as a Security Analyst before coming to work at Northside.
As churches grow in size and complexity, equipping people and developing reliable systems proves to be essential for sustainability. As the Project Manager for Ministries at CedarCreek Church, Jason is responsible for helping to remove road blocks for his team, engage in cross department communication, monitor deadlines, budget and assist in future development planning in order to help teams of staff and volunteers do what it is they do best and spend more intentional time with guests.
Steven has been the Database Administrator at Compass Christian Church since 2019. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University in 2016 and has been working in the I.T. industry for over 11 years. When Steven is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Shayla’s belief strength motivates her to do work that makes a difference. And there is nothing more important to her than helping churches become more effective in their communications if it helps lead someone to Christ.
You’ll often find her meeting with and hearing the stories of churches and people we haven't yet worked with. (She has a knack for hearing a church’s goals and creating an easy and efficient solution to make those goals happen.)
When she’s not helping churches, there’s a good chance you'll find her on stage performing in a musical, hosting an impromptu pool party with her husband and three kids or chauffeuring said kids to their activities.
Mark is a Software Engineer at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been a nerd since birth and involved in ministry including youth and family ministry for many years. He has four young sons with his wife. His favorite activities are playing Kerbal Space Program, Star Trek: Attack Wing, and woodworking.
James M. Lewis, III and his wife Kristen became members of Manna Church in 2000 and joined the Manna staff in 2016 as a ministry resident after 22 years of service in the United States Army retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He served as an assistant at the Executive Place site, and the following year was ordained and set in as the Executive Pastor of Operations. James holds multiple degrees including a Masters of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University, a Masters of Military Science from The Command and General Staff College School of Advanced Military Studies, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Military Academy.
James and Kristen have been married since 1996 and homeschool their six children: Keegan, Chase, Trey, Kayleigh, Caitlin, and Van. They all enjoy all outdoor activities, sports (especially soccer, tennis and football), and music.
Sean is a Partner at Differential, the Cincinnati-based team that leads product development for The Apollos Project - a Kingdom-minded technology initiative that seeks to make connecting with God and your church a daily habit that leads to a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Sean spent the first 20 years of his career helping Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and non-profits innovate new products and services, and helping build a small technology company from zero to 20-Million Members in the health and fitness space. But for the past 6 years, Sean's calling and primary focus have been to help the Church innovate in the way people use technology to improve their "spiritual fitness" and grow in their faith.
Sean, Kate, and their three children live in Cincinnati Ohio and attend Crossroads Church.
Jim is the IT Manager at The Crossing, a multi-site church in the St. Louis area that has been running Rock in production since 2016 . Jim has been involved with the Rock community since the beginning, is a perennial RX presenter, and can be found hanging out in Rocket Chat looking for questions to answer almost 24x7 (yes, he needs therapy.)
Gerry lives in Mount Joy, PA, with his wife Ann and daughters Evie and Addie. They are huge Disney fans. He's been on staff at LCBC Church for two and a half years. Previously to LCBC Church, he worked for HP and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He likes making things "automagically" work, so his team and other staff at LCBC Church can leverage technology to introduce more people to Jesus and together fully follow him.
Brandi was born and raised in Scottsdale Arizona and has always loved the sun, but needed some beach to go along with it. She currently serves as the Director of IT Apps and Development for Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She stewards all things Rock, the CF Mobile App and Website as well as all reporting, data analysis and visualization. Brandi loves to go fishing with her husband, spending time with her daughter Marley who is 14 and the 2 Dogs (Indie and Tanner).
After getting injured in the Navy, Christian found Jesus, found his elementary school sweetheart, and her home church - Traders Point Christian Church. He started his career over again in technology and was privileged to work in some exciting, early-stage software companies in the Indianapolis area like T2 Systems and Bluebridge Digital. As those companies grew, Christian was fortunate to assume various leadership roles running Operations and Technology. As a consummate volunteer, Christian ran the Ministry for Children with Special Needs and the Safety Ministry, among other volunteer roles at the church. Christian was surprised one random weekday when his Executive Pastor took him to coffee - Christian thought he was going to ask for some technology advice - but really he was offered a job as the CIO for the church. Christian has to pinch himself every day because God has provided an awesome family, some relief to his injuries, and an amazing job.
I have been on staff at Christ Chapel for 20 years, beginning with 7 years in Children’s Ministry before transitioning into the Database Manager role with the implementation of our previous ChMS. We transitioned to Rock in the fall of 2018. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband Scott, our 2 adult sons and future daughter-in-law (Feb 2022), and our dog Bella.
Jim is an imperfect man of God that loves his family. He is a warrior, a leader, and a student of operations and data science. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California at Davis. He enjoys all things that can be done outdoors.
Catie has been on staff at Woodmen for 6 years, following 5+ years of web & WordPress development, and has served as IT
Director for the past 3 years. She is passionate about shepherding the “flock” of staff members and ministry partners at
Woodmen (and around the world) – ensuring they are equipped with the processes, digital tools, and technology necessary to
equip the saints for the work of ministry as we seek to love well in our families, community and world and change lives
Terri has been on staff at Trinity Fellowship since 2002. She has served in many areas of the church and is all about spreading God’s good news. She loves adventure and new experiences, whether it is traveling to a far-away country or playing golf on a new course.
Tommy loves Jesus, his wife, kids, church and just life in general! Thankful for the opportunity to use technology every day, allowing people to know God better, find freedom, discover their purpose and make a difference with their lives. One of his personal phrases he loves to say is, “it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.”
Tina is married to a wonderful man (Chris) and they have 3 beautiful children, Alex (30), Jake (28) and Makayla (16). She has been programming in one language or another for almost 30 years and enjoys learning new things. So Rock and Lava have definitely been a way to do that!
Melody has been at Southside Baptist Church for 6 years as an Administrative Assistant and Data Administrator for Rock. She is a military spouse, has 2 children and welcomed 2 grandchildren last year.
Mike has been married for 34 years to Nancy, and they are parents of three adult children and grandparents to one grandchild. He worked as a software engineer for Boeing for 10 years before joining the ministry team at Calvary Church in 1995 as Children's Pastor. Mike has led ministry, operational, finance, and leadership teams for 26 years at Calvary. He likes to teach and facilitate discussions regarding the intersection of the church, the gospel, theology, and our culture.
Thomas was a Software Engineer for 7 years when he realized that sitting in an office for 8 hours a day writing code wasn’t doing it for him anymore. He really wanted to interact with people and problem solve more. Going to Northview to lead the migration to a new database system called Rock was a big risk, but it has been very rewarding. There is so much to do and sometimes it can be stressful, but he can honestly say that he loves what he does. The Rock community is great and Thomas loves solving ministry problems with a great tool!
With over 10 years ministry experience, and a background in website development, Tina was excited to use her combined skills as the Rock Program Manager for Scottsdale Bible. She enjoys building relationships with ministry teams in order to develop efficient solutions and training. Tina lives in Phoenix with her husband of 30 years near their 4 grown children. In her free time, she enjoys writing historical fiction, hiking, and photography.
The first 11 years of my IT career were spent in the business world. It was time for a change and then a simple “yes”, catapulted me into the world of ministry. I have served as the Director of IT for the past 13 years at Church on the Move. I love being on a team that provides technology solutions to our ministry that help reach people for Jesus. My wife, Melody and I love chasing our three kids Madeline, Blake, and Campbell around to all their events. In my spare time, you can find me in the great outdoors with my two dogs Preacher and Hondo.
Steve Swaringen spent multiple decades wandering aimlessly as an architect of complex equipment for the semiconductor manufacturing industry before finding his way to the Database Team at Lakepointe Church. He lives in Rockwall, Texas with his wife Christy, son Ben, and beloved mentor Tiger (a quadruped rumored to be from the planet Yorkshire in the star-system Terrier).
Julie is the Web & Data Communication Specialist at The Crossing – a multi-site church in the St. Louis area. She has been at The Crossing for 11 years and in the Rock community for 6 years. She and her husband moved to Denver this summer, embracing the remote work culture that is expanding around us.
Jennifer first came on staff at Kensington in 2005 and has served in many roles over the past 16 years. Her focus is now on all-things-database while striving to help all ministries achieve their goals through the use of Rock RMS. Although Kensington Church has six campuses located throughout Michigan, she has worked remotely since 2014 and currently calls Asheville, North Carolina her home.
Janet has been on staff at Lakepointe for 17 years and has been in her current role since 2006. She is passionate about helping staff find new processes through Rock to simplify their daily work and to make it easier to reach more people for Christ. Janet is married to Richard, and is blessed with 3 boys and 2 granddaughters.
I started at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) as an Infrastructure Specialist in July of 2012. While on the Infrastructure team, I became very familiar with Rock administration. In May of 2017, I transitioned to the Application Development Team as a ChMS Developer. In my current role as a Senior App Developer, I build custom websites within Rock, build and maintain complex workflows, workflow actions, blocks, jobs, api’s, and various other projects.
Tyler leads the Information Technology team at Life.Church that equips staff members across 36 locations with the technology needed to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Tyler is passionate about leveraging technology to see lives changed and giving volunteers the ability to use their technology skills to build the church. He and his wife, Nicole, live in Oklahoma City with their children Tripp and Harper.
Conrad is a product and startup geek. He has over a decade of experience building, coding, shooting, writing and designing experiences for just about any type of screen on media ranging from software to film production. Currently, he leads the Apollos Project at Differential. Over the last 15 years he's worked with organizations such as Microsoft, TaylorMade, IBM, Comcast and Crossroads Church...but is most passionate about stories with companies you haven't heard of - like helping a fitness club grow from 1 location to top 20 nationally and acquirement by Gold's Gym. Let's talk about anything from helping people connect daily through technology, from film to design, maybe even what is the best kind of BBQ 🐄.
Conrad, his wife Lacey, and their two children live in Dallas, TX, and attend Watermark Church.
Kurt has been at Trinity Fellowship since 2015. He brings a wealth of administrative and personal experience to the team. He has a passion for people to succeed and fulfill their call. Kurt enjoys road biking and hanging out with his granddaughter.
I am the Database Specialist at Christ the King Church in Bellingham, WA. I have been on staff at CTK for the last 14 years and have been involved in the Rock community for the past 5 years. When I'm not working on Rock, you will find me spending time with my husband and 3 kids enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Matthew lives in Williamston, SC with his wife Kristine, his 5-year-old daughter Abbye, and his 3-year-old daughter, Alston. He loves the Atlanta Braves, Florida Gators, and being a girl dad! He's been on staff at NewSpring Church going on 10 years, and has a passion for building teams and people finding their identity in Jesus!
Greg has a passion for engaging leaders and churches for significant health and impact. He has been an Engineer, Staff pastor, Lead pastor, Planting pastor, Business & Church Consultant, Statistics professor, Psychometrician, Coach, Author and Assessor. He has degrees in Industrial Engineering, Business, Divinity and Psychometrics. Greg has been married for 42 years to his lovely wife, Mary Kay and they have three married children with seven grandchildren, and this is the role he enjoys most!
Christy has worked in technology solutions for more than 18 years in the roles of Developer, Technical Project Manager and Product Manager. She is passionate about applying principles of Design Thinking to help drive outcome focused priorities. Since joining North Point Ministries in 2018, she served a critical role in managing the custom development, training and successful launch of the robust platform its church websites are built on. In 2020, Christy switched “products” to become the CRM Product Manager focusing on Rock innovation for the organization. Her first major initiative in 2021 has been in partnership with Triumph to expand Rock’s core check-in functionality which is actively being rolled out at eight locations this Summer. She resides in metro-Atlanta with her husband of 22 years, their two children, dog and guinea pig.
